Play directing With the right conditions, at the right time and with the right people I am interested in taking on direction assignments. It is a consuming, tiring but also interesting and challenging task to direct. With around eighty productions behind me I have a large experience to use while I at the same time am very curious on what really happens between the first reading and the last performance. coordinate a process from the start to the last performance meeting the audience and not to create an opening night that than gradually falls to pieces. A theatre performance is, unlike a film, something that breathes and changes with every show. I do not work with film. I work with the actual and ever changing meeting between actors and audience. Because of this I do not work the largest stages – if I were to be offered to direct atthe Royal Dramatic Theatres big stage I would say no thanks. If it wasn´t about doing a musical. competent musical directors and eventually choreographers at my side. I do not know music and dance. But I have been given the chance to direct several wonderful musicals over the years. After 35 years of heading Spegelteatern I am now using my time to write, to work with photography and to plan upcoming projects. At the same time I am trying to make a living.
